What are the most important items we would need to travel successfully through life?
Obviously the first item to go in the case would be:
- LOVE
St Paul says in the 1st letter to the Corinthians 13:13
“And now these three remain faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” Ah!
We’ve given out the second item to go in the case:
2. HOPE
But what about the third? Actually it was hidden in item 1.
3. Charity
Luke 6:38 reads: “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured to you.” Please note that this giving is not restricted to money or food or clothes or material benefits but it also extends to our stories about people, our judgements of others, our emotional support, our “being” with people in suffering or enduring trials, our support of those suffering injustice or those wrongly accused. 1 Peter 4:8 says “And above all things have fervent charity towards one another because charity covers a multitude of sins.”
