The first ever Drawing Competition organised by the Matharpacady Residents Welfare Association was held on Sunday, 13th November 2016 at St. Isabel’s High School. We had seven enthusiastic, young participants ranging between the ages of 6 and 12 years, eager to show off their artistic talent. The actual number of entries was much higher as some of the contestants failed to show up due to various reasons. The theme for this drawing competition was “Life in Matharpacady Village”.
Our Judge, Ms Tasneem Rajkotwala was indeed impressed by the budding artists. The event wound up with a round of refreshments followed by the Prize Distribution. All the participants were happy to be awarded prizes for their artwork.
The results of this competition were as under :
1st Prize – Aafrin Shah, 2nd Prize – Aamir Shah and Shahida Agrawalla, 3rd Prize – Joshua Mendes
Consolation Prize – Shalom Mendes and Jay Umrigar
Special Prize – Arhaan Shah
Special thanks to our Judge, Ms Tasneem Rajkotwala for taking the time to be with our contestants. Our thanks also the Mrs Selma Pulical and Mrs Charmaine Vongeyer for helping in organising this Drawing Competition. Thanks also to the Trustees and Management of St. Isabel’s High School for use of their premises.
