A Christmas Tree Party was held for children upto the age of 18 years earlier today evening.This party was organised by the youth of Matharpacady Village and close friends. Around 70 children attended the party alongwith their parents, relatives and friends. There were games held for children of different age groups and attractive prizes were given to the winners. A clown entertained the children and danced alongwith them. The children were treated to some mouth watering snacks – wafers, homemade chutney sandwiches and tang. Towards the end of the function, Santa made his way and danced and gave gifts & goodies to all. The children as well as the adults had a rollicking time and enjoyed themselves taking back with them many fond memories. We had a surprise visitor during the evening – His Eminence Bishop Agnelo Gracias. His Eminence was glad to be amongst the children and wished everyone the peace and joy of Christmas and the very best for a bright New Year. He was impressed by the twinkling stars hanging around the village and the love & togetherness among the residents in having such functions.
