The second batch of international students under the overseas exchange programme visited Matharpacady Village from the Dhirubhai Ambani International school on Saturday, 25th October ’14. As usual Hansel Baptista, took the students on a tour of the village, explaining them the various facets of our heritage area, and in particular, the Holy Cross Oratory.
As with most of such groups which visit our village, they are quite fascinated that such a place exists in the heart of this bustling city of Mumbai. In this group of students who were from France, the Czech republic and London, there was a girl student from Portugal. She was pleasantly surprised that Sophia Baptista could fluently speak to her in Portuguese. Our village was one of their stops during their whole day trip to see various parts of Mumbai. They were treated to tea and cookies by Hansel and their visit was arranged by Travel-Logs.
